RALLY GUIDELINES
CYF Fall Rally
November 21-23, 2008
For students in the 9th – 12th grades
1. Registration deadline to the Central Area office is November 10,
2008 - please honor this date. A postmark of November 10 will be
acceptable. A late fee of $10.00 per person, will apply after
November 10. No registrations will be accepted after November 14.
2. Refund requests must be made in writing. Registration fee, less
$10.00 (less any late fees paid) will be refunded on cancellations
made prior to November 5. No refund will be made for no-shows or
cancellations after November 19.
3. Cost of rally is $75.00 per person. Adult sponsors pay $75.00
also, including members of the CYF Youth Ministry Council.
4. The rally will begin at 9:00pm Friday and end 10:00am Sunday at
Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat.
5. Sponsors are required. One adult (at least 21 - preferably 25 or
older) must be registered and present at the entire event for every
1-7 youth - in the same ratio of male and female as youth, if
possible. Sponsors pay the same registration fee as youth. Every
church sending campers is responsible for providing sponsors.
6. Adults are expected, during the event to:
a. Participate fully in all scheduled activities;
b. Set a positive role model;
c. Provide leadership as requested in small group times and other
activities;
d. Be responsible for the behavior and participation of
the youth from your church;
e. Be responsible for the behavior of the youth in their
assigned sleeping area;
f. Abide by and enforce all rally and Lake Brownwood
Christian Retreat rules.
7. Youth are expected, during the event to:
a. Participate fully in all scheduled activities;
b. Honor and abide by all Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat
and rally rules;
c. Be present for the entire event (no coming and going
during the event);
d. Not make or receive phone calls;
e. Be accountable to the adult leaders of the event and
other adults in their groups and sleeping areas;
f. Live a disciplined, Christian life-style in community
with other Christian youth and refrain from language,
jokes, activities which are off-color, prejudicial, or
non-Christian.
8. Adults or youth not willing to participate cooperatively, in
harmony with the event theme and guidelines, and respect the rules
and property of Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat may be sent home.
9. Bring:
a. Your best, most cooperative attitude
b. Bedding (pillows are provided)
c. Personal care products
d. Casual clothes appropriate to the temperature, setting,
and a Christian event
e. Bible, pen/pencils, notebook
f. Offering money
10. Do not bring:
a. Food, candy, drinks, snacks of any kind
b. Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
c. Firearms or fireworks
d. Tobacco products
e. Televisions, radios, jamboxes
a. Cell or mobile phones (these are permitted only by
adult sponsors)
